Thanks for visiting and commenting Olivia. Our program emphasizes LTC plans to our students. It is an often overlooked, but very important tool for retirement planning.

The article is really informative and beneficial for the senior citizens who needs balanced retirement plans.By knowing certain information, they can make decision to have the best long-term care insurance plan for themselves. A long-term care insurance policy is the best way in which you have to pay in advance and that too in fewer amounts in order to combat future's big financial problems.

It is not counterinuitive at all. Any other perception of the debt would be incongruent with the sacrifices they have made and provoke cognitive dissonance. Sadly the debt does not diminish as quickly over time as the graduate's sense of achievement.

This day was really special given that it was our first day interacting as representatives of CLU and the US. It was important that we understood some basic customs in the business world and we got to practice them in several different settings.

As Jay mentioned, Dr. Basu and Yifan gave us a presentation on introductions and business card exchange practices which were very important in establishing respect and relationships.

Business dinners are a critical element of establishing and building guanxi – deep personal relationships that are the foundation for successful business dealings. There are strictly observed formalities for seating arrangements, toasts, gift exchanges and other social graces that were important to observe. We all went around a very large round table that seated over 20 people and introduced ourselves. The night was wonderful and we were graciously entertained by Mr. Sun, in part out of deference to Dr. Basu and CLU which had taken such good care of Mr. Sun’s daughter – Wendy. We had dinner, course after course, served to us with many attentive servers assuring a first class affair.

When exchanging business cards, you introduce yourself last name first and first name last. You extend the card with it in the proper position for the person receiving it to be able to read it. You extend it with both hands on the card and bow towards the recipient as you extend the card to them. When they hand their card to you, you pronounce their name back to them out of respect and to confirm pronunciation; a challenge with many Chinese names for us Americans!

Timeliness for appointments is another priority in business settings and in cities with populations of 23 million people, getting around can be a challenge. Therefore, giving plenty of extra travel time is very important.
